21st Century Director

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the 21st Century Program Director is responsible for administrative oversight of two 21st Century Community Learning Centers, including staff supervision; leadership; recruitment, coordination, and collaboration between programs; communication; data collection, integrity, analysis, and reporting. As a combined position, the Program Director/Site Coordinator - HS is also responsible for planning and coordinating all activities at their CCLC school-based site during the school year and summer. This position is new, opening two new 21st Century Community Learning Centers in Concrete, WA. Concrete is a small community, approximately 96 miles north and east of Seattle, WA, and more than 20 miles from the nearest community of size - Sedro-Woolley. With just over 500 kids and teens enrolled in grades K-12, the opportunity to create significant change is available to an excited leader who understands at-risk populations, specifically those facing challenges with substance abuse and under/unemployment. Based on a recent needs statement, it is anticipated that more than 20% of the entire school population will be participating daily. The Program Director will be an integral part of the school and greater community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership to 21st Century Program Site Coordinator - EL to ensure implementation and fidelity of program goals and outcomes
Ensures that staff and programmatic activities comply with all rules, regulations, policies and procedures established at local, state and federal levels for implementation of 21st Century Learning Centers
Leads and facilitates ongoing planning efforts of staff and community partners to achieve academic and social outcomes
Ensures project staff establishes and maintains procedures to adequately document program activities Ensures student and programmatic evaluation activities are consistently implemented
Actively engage youth during the school day to build strong relationships
Provide direction/communication/support to all collaborative agencies and organizations
Recruit, develop, and evaluate all staff
Perform major project administrative duties
Foster the development of family-school-community relations
Foster the development of sustainable programming beyond the 21st Century Program Project Cycle
Ensure a safe environment for all participants, staff, partners, and families
Actively engage community agencies in providing support services to families, specifically literacy efforts and interventions
Cultivate a culture that embraces a continuous program quality improvement cycle
BA in Education, or related field; or, equivalent education/experience combination
Two or more years supervising staff in a dynamic working environment, with experience in coaching, evaluation, and feedback
Two or more years preparing, maintaining and providing reporting on fiscal management needs
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs, sit for frequent periods of time, and perform recurring tasks
Possess the ability to remain poised, positive, and energetic in a busy work environment
Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills
Ability to use current technology to maintain records and obtain data and information; familiarity with VisionCPS - MTS, or equivalent Access-based data management software preferred
Preference of candidates with familiarity and training in YPQA/I
Preference of Bilingual/literate candidates

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
